AirMagnet Handheld Analyzer detects Cross Channel Interference in the environment. The brown bar on the START page denotes normal Cross Channel Interference (CCI) emitted by access points, as well as probing signals from other devices looking for an access point with which to connect. The CCI is a side effect of the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum coding used in the 802.11b RF transmission.
