The installation and operation of AirMagnet Survey (software-only) requires separate hardware with one of the following minimum system requirements below. |

| >> Laptop / Notebook PC / Tablet PC |
| |
- Operating Systems: Microsoft® Windows 7 Enterprise/Professional/Ultimate, Vista™ Business/Ultimate (SP2), or XP™ Professional (SP3) or Microsoft® Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 (SP3)
Note:[1] 64 bit Operating System supported on Windows 7 for certain wireless adapters. Please refer to supported adapter list for more details. [2] Use Windows XP (SP2) if AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer is installed and used as a stand-alone application on the same laptop PC
- Intel® Pentium® M 1.6 GHz (Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.00 GHz or higher recommended)
- 1 GB memory (2 GB recommended) for Windows XP™. 2 GB or higher required for Windows Vista™ and Windows 7
- 800 MB free hard disk space
- Cardbus, ExpressCard slot, USB port or mini PCI slot (whichever applicable)
- Multiple slots in the PC when using multiple adapters. AirMagnet recommends the use of its multi-adapter kit.
- AirMagnet-supported wireless network adapter(s)
- Optional spectrum adapter and license (required for viewing spectrum data and heat map; Survey PRO only). Integration supported with AirMagnet Spectrum XT, AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer, Fluke Networks AnalyzeAir or Cisco Spectrum Expert. Note: Spectrum XT adapter is in the USB form-factor, while the other spectrum products are based on a cardbus (PCMCIA) adapter.
- Microsoft® MapPoint 2004 or higher (required for running large-scale outdoor survey using the MapPoint integration feature; Survey PRO only)
- Internet connection for using Microsoft® Virtual Earth integration for outdoor surveys (Survey PRO only)
- A site map in a format supported by AirMagnet Survey (supported formats are: .bmp, .dib, .dwg, .dxf, .emf, .gif, vsd, .jpg, or .wmf.)
- Google Earth must be installed in order to export the GPS data for outdoor surveys to Google Earth (Survey PRO only)
